Ongoing Formation Programme, (11th from 19th December 2014), at Anugraha, Tamilnadu, India

We have started the second batch of the ongoing formative course at Anugraha, Tamilnadu, India. There are 14 Capuchins and 3 sisters belonging to Franciscan Families of India participating in it.

We began the session on 11^th December 2014 evening, with the welcome address by Br. Michael Fernandes, our General Councilor for India. He stressed upon the importance of such courses where one can get renewed. He called for a particular attention to the ongoing formative programmes where the formators need this type of updating. Br. S. Arockiam the Provincial of Queen of Peace Province also warmly welcomed the gathering and encouraged the participants with his lively message. He himself participates in this session and it was a very good fraternal gesture.

Fraternal Moments with Br. Dolphy Pious Ofm Cap., the Minister Provincial of Karnataka.

Br. Michael Fernandes Ofm Cap., our General Councilar for India added colour to the course by his animative presence and encouragement. He also gave a talk on the importance of ongoing formation and the need for renewal.

At the end of the session on 10^th he awarded all the participants with a Certificate from the General Secretariat for Formation & FISI.

International Council for Formation (24-29 November 2014)

Il 24 novembre 2014-il giorno dell’introduzione e della condivisione delle esperienze formative. Ogni consigliere della formazione ha portato qualche notizia sulla formazione, con alcuni statistiche.

Don. Felice Accrocca ha trattato il tema “Frate Francesco…fratello e maestro.” Lui ha detto che per altri ordini definire l’identità è facile, ma per noi francescani questo non è facile-la nostra identità possiede la tensione che San Francesco aveva nella sua vita – il suo testamento è una testimonianza di questo fatto. Questo è il mistero vissuto da san francesco. Con la fragilità e l’umiltà, i primi frati hanno manifestato la grandezza divina. La struttura fraterna ha la capacita di discernere in maniera fraterna. Questi sono alcuni dei punti con cui lui ci ha ispirato.

The International Council for Formation gathered to discuss about the formative reality of the Order and above all to prepare the  Ratio Formationis.

Visita a NAPCC Novitiate-San Lorenzo Seminary, 1802 Sky Drive.

Il 22 ottobre 2014 siamo andati a visitare il noviziato della NAPCC . Fra Charles Alphonse Ofm Cap. ha tenuto una comunicazione: “Visione globale della formazione e Ratio formationis” (“Formation from a Global View & on the Ratio Formationis of the Order”), cui hanno fatto seguito i lavori di gruppo.

A San Lorenzo ci sono sedici novizi, provenienti da otto province, con cinque formatori (Brs. Frank Grinko, Bobby Barbato, Bob Herrick, Joe e Jerry Johnson). I formatori si sono rallegrati per la cura riservata alla formazione da parte dei Provinciali e per la maggior collaborazione quest’anno da parte degli studenti.
